We here at The Sibson Inn Hotel host a great deal of Weddings every year and we like to know how well each of them go. We like to hear back from our Brides and Grooms to find out how happy they were with our wedding and hospitality services. Here are just a few of the kind words that they have said about their special days. . . . 

 

Married December 2016

We had our Wedding reception at The Sibson on Saturday December 3rd. Without a doubt, it was perfect, and we could not have asked for more. From our very first meeting with Diane a few months before, right through to the wedding day, everything was great. The marquee was beautiful, and even in winter the cold wasn't an issue as it is fully heated. The entire hotel is very idyllic and a beautiful farmhouse setting for a country wedding. The hotel was completely booked up with our guests for the weekend, and everyone said how lovely their rooms were and had no issues. The views from the rooms are amazing, and even though the main road is near by there is no issue with noise. The hotel has a lovely old, warm farmhouse feel to it. The staff are great. Everyone seems like they are a tight little family who have known each other for years. They really went out of their way for any special requests, both regular and unusual. Even going as far to opening the restaurant and bar on Sunday evening so that some of our guests could return for some more celebrations. We can not fault them on anything. The food throughout was great, both on the day and the day after for breakfast and dinner. There are a variety of good options, and cater well for vegetarians/ people with food allergies etc. I could continue further, but there is so much more to mention.
To summarize, the hospitality was immense and we were overwhelmed by it. We can not imagine our day being anywhere near as special if we had had it anywhere else.
Thank you so much to Diane, Bret and all the staff for making it such a memorable weekend. We will definitely be popping in again sometime. Wishing you all the best for the future, and know that it will be a successful establishment for many years to come!

Married September 2016

We got married here on the 17th September and it was an amazing day. The food was excellent and Diane and Bret and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this friendly and welcoming hotel. If I could put 10 stars I would.

Married August 2016

My husband and I got married at the Sibson a couple of weeks back and I can not recommend them enough. Diane and the team were fab and couldn't be more helpful, both our main sit down meal and the evening buffet were delicious. We couldn't of asked for more! Thank you so much.

Married April 2016

During April we had are wedding here. All the hard work and planning with Diane and team really made it a very special day Thank you very much. All are guest enjoyed their stay and really enjoyed the oldie worldly buildings and rooms. The breakfast was first rate with local ingredients used. My wife stayed the night before and had dinner in the restaurant and spoke very highly about the food. Though it is near the A1 we where not disturbed by the traffic We would recommend this as a wedding venue. We will be back.

How big is the dance floor?

6 M x 4.5 M

How big are the tables?
We have 5 ft diameter tables that seat up to 8   ( we have 12 of these)
We have 6 ft diameter tables that seat up to 11 ( we have 5 of these).
 
The Top table is made up of rectangular tables 1350mm long.
3 will seat up to 7 people,    (4.05 M long)
4 will seat up to 9 people.    (5.4 M long)
5 will seat up to 11 people.  (6.75M long)
6 will seat up to 13 people.  (8.1M long)
The top table is 750mm high

How big are the function rooms?
The Marquee is 17M x 10M
The Wansford Ceremony room is 11 M x 5.3M
The Nassington 12 M x 4 M

What time does the bar close?

We normally close the bar at 12.30am. The disco must end at 1am.

Can we have fireworks and Chinese lanterns outside?

Yes, you can have professionally managed fireworks. They must be fully insured and we have to have a copy of the insurance.
Chinese lanterns are allowed but are not allowed if there is any wind as they can cause fires

Can you cater for special dietary needs?

Yes we are used to catering for all dietary requirements and allergies. We can either substitute certain ingredients or have alternative dishes depending on your needs
 

How many high-chairs / boosters do you have?

We have 6 high-chairs and 1 booster

Do you have a cake stand and knife?

Yes we have a 14" silver round and a 14" silver square cake stands. We have a silver cake knife.

Can we have candles?

No. Not real candles. Battery ones are fine.

When can we get in to set up for our wedding?

The day before if we don't have another wedding. On the day from 9am. Like wise with chair covers.
